Designing and Building Worthwhile and Fulfilling Retirements<br/>I am focused on helping my clients design and build a worthwhile and fulfilling retirement. Life is way too short and should be lived with purpose and meaning.<br/><br/>Start with the End in Mind<br/>In creating a set of blueprints to construct a building, the architect starts with the end in mind and then works backwards to design the structural components necessary to support the structure. I believe a solid retirement plan must also start with the end in mind so that the appropriate investment decisions are aligned and support your unique retirement vision.<br/><br/>Passion for Investing<br/>Growing up in northern Wisconsin (Minocqua area), I saved up money selling live bait to fishermen over a summer. I convinced my parents to let a 13-year old invest in a mutual fund. This cemented my passion for investing and I knew at that time that I wanted to be a Financial Advisor. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a bachelor?s degree in Finance and entered the financial services industry in 1991. <br/><br/>Live with Purpose and Meaning<br/>In 2015, I was involved in a robbery where I was the victim of a gunshot wound to the head. Sitting in my car, I was robbed of $30 and was shot just in front of my left ear. Miraculously, the bullet lodged into the cochlea and didn?t enter (or exit) my ?grey matter.? As you can probably imagine, this was a life-changing event for me and my family. If the bullet trajectory was just a few millimeters different, the outcome would have been much more tragic. This event reinforced my belief that life is precious and should be lived with purpose and meaning.<br/><br/>Balance in Life<br/>Beth and I have been married since 1992 and are very proud of our twin children, William and Alexis. To help provide some balance in life, we unwind on our ranch with our Highland cows. I?m also very active in the Oshkosh Freemasons and in Boy Scout Troop 601.
