My Background

Melissa began her career in the securities industry in 2011 at Ameriprise Financial in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, she obtained her general securities registrations including the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65. After working in back-office operations for several years, she then began her journey assisting clients in Irvine, California. She enjoys working with families in achieving their financial goals and strives to provide world class service with each interaction.<br/><br/>Melissa approaches personal finance and investment planning from a grounded, common-sense perspective and views each client?s personal financial situation holistically. As a life-long learner, she?s currently studying to become a CFA Charterholder and is registered for the second level of this examination. Melissa graduated from the Chapman University System with a Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration ? Finance.<br/><br/>Melissa enjoys the outdoors and likes to hike, camp, golf and play pickleball. She?s also passionate about classical music and playing the cello. Currently she?s a volunteer member of the Orchestra Collective of Orange County professional symphony and mentors at the New Hope Orange County Orchestra for underprivileged youth. Through this philanthropic work, she?s been quoted in the Associated Press, LA Times, and Fox 11 Los Angeles news outlets and has performed at world-renowned venues such as Walt Disney Hall. You?ll find her performing around Orange County and spending time with family and friends on the weekends.
